Payment and Settlement Services
The ‘Payment System’ refers to the arrangements/system which allows our customers to transfer funds within and outside the bank (outside includes both domestic and international transfers).
AUB Payment system covers the following facilities
1- Doorstep Banking
Doorstep banking is a facility provided to customers at their doorsteps so that they are not required to visit the Bank for basic services such as cash deposit, cash withdrawal, and cheque deposit. The cash-based transactions (deposits and withdrawals) are performed at the registered place of the customers at minimal cost, depending on the value of the transaction.
2- Telegraphic Transfer
The term “telegraphic transfers” refers to the domestic and international money transfers made from an account holder of the Bank to the destined beneficiary through wire system.
3- Pay As per ID
AUB facilitates its customers to manage their business activities, specifically cash-based interventions where AUB does not have physical branches. Such facilities are extended through an effective network of sub-agents across all districts and provinces. This unique service enables customers to perform cash-based transactions through permissible IDs (Tazkira, passport, ID card, or telephone number, etc.).
4- Standing Instructions
Standing Order (or Standing Instruction) is an instruction from an account holder (the payer) to pay a pre-specified amount at regular intervals/frequency to another's (the payee's) account. The amount is debited from the payer’s account on the due date and credited to the payee’s account instantly.
5- Tax Payments
Afghan United Bank facilitates customers to pay their taxes/custom duties at any branch, with or without holding an account with AUB. The tax payment facility enables customers to make tax/custom duty payments at very reasonable charges and at their convenience.
6- MoneyGram
Afghan United Bank is the sole authorized partner of MoneyGram International Inc. to facilitate international remittances, both inward and outward. Through MoneyGram, customers can send/receive money using their National ID (Tazkira) or Passport with minimal documentation. The system is safe, secure, and fast, offered at lower charges compared to the unorganized market. This service is available at all AUB branches and its sub-agents.
7- Salary Payments
Afghan United Bank facilitates corporate customers to transfer the salaries of their staff (within AUB or to accounts maintained with other local banks) at reasonable service charges. Salaries are processed within 24 hours. AUB also enables corporates to pay staff salaries to those without bank accounts or based in locations without branches through the Pay As per ID system.
8- Electricity Bill Payments
All AUB branches facilitate customers in paying their electricity bills. Payments can be made in cash or via transfer.
9- Cheque Collection
Afghan United Bank facilitates customers to deposit and collect local and international cheques into their accounts.
10- Water Bill Payment
All AUB branches are enabled for the collection of bills against water usage. Both AUB customers and walk-in customers can avail this facility.
